When you create a profile on Casting.mt, you begin as Rising Talent. This is a free listing that puts you in front of every production browsing the directory immediately, with no waiting period and no approval process required. Your headshot and bio are visible. You can apply for open casting calls with a single click.

Verified status is the next level. Here is what each means and how to move from one to the other.

Rising Talent

Rising Talent status is free and immediate. As soon as your profile is created with a headshot and bio, you are live in the directory. Productions can see your photo, read your bio, and contact you directly.

Rising Talent profiles show your headshot, name, playing age, gender, location and bio. This is enough for many productions to identify whether they want to reach out.

Verified

Verified status signals to productions that you are a working professional with genuine credits and a proper showreel. Your full profile becomes visible, including your complete credits, skills, additional photos, showreel and contact details.

Verified actors also receive instant email notifications whenever a new casting call is posted on the platform, before anyone else sees it. And verified actors are eligible to be featured on Indydog Film.

How to get verified

To be considered for verified status, your profile must meet four requirements:

• A professional headshot: taken by a photographer, not a selfie or phone snapshot
• At least one screen, theatre or commercial credit
• A showreel link: Vimeo or YouTube preferred
• A completed bio of at least 50 characters

Once your profile meets these requirements, you can request verified status from your dashboard. The Casting.mt team reviews your profile and, if approved, you receive an email to complete the upgrade for a fee of 20 euros per year.

Is verified worth it?

For a working actor, yes. Twenty euros a year is less than the cost of a single headshot session. In return you get full profile visibility, priority placement, instant casting call notifications, and the professional credibility that the verified badge communicates to every production that views your profile.
