David Muscat

David Muscat is a Maltese actor whose journey into performance began in the theatre and continues both on the stage and screen. His performance in the short film This is Matt Mason, directed by Jonathan Backman, earned him the Best Actor award at the Malta Cine Circle 2022. He also won the award for Best Promising Actor for his performance in Housekeeper Wanted at MADC’s One Act Play Festival in 2021. Notable productions include You on the Moors Now, Dance Nation, Clara, Day of the Pay, Twelfth Night, Billy’s Game: A Saw Parody!, Wait Until Dark, No Man’s Land, and Life Improvised: Crossing Paths. David was part of the Malta Improv Group for three years, during which time he partook in several short-form improvised shows in Malta, including at Notte Bianca. He has co-hosted, produced, and directed the improvised superhero-themed podcast Meet Your Heroes: A SuperFluous News Podcast, in which he has played multiple characters. Beyond stage and film, he has acted in commercials in collaboration with MAKA Visuals, and worked as a game writer. David has been trained in acting at at Catalyst – Institute for Creative Arts and Technology in Berlin. Fun fact: David is a qualified and experienced accountant.
